The American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) is a bipartisan membership organization representing state, county, and city human services agencies across the United States. We support public-sector leaders responsible for designing, administering, and modernizing social services that promote individual, family, and community well-being. Our members oversee programs that strengthen resilience through access to food, health care, housing, employment, child care, and other essential supports, while also advancing integrated data systems, workforce development, and legal and policy alignment. APHSA serves as a national convening and learning hub, connecting local and regional agencies with federal policymakers, cross-sector partners, and peer networks. Through professional education, technical assistance, and shared learning, we help public human services systems respond more effectively to complex social challenges.
